Ashland SWCD offers quick and accurate soil testing results for both farmers and homeowners. Sample prices are listed below. All samples will have a shipping charge of $3/sample for under 10 samples and $2/sample for over 10 samples.
Soil testing is easy when you follow these simple steps:
Pick up a sample bag or use a sealable plastic storage bag.
Fill out either the Ag or Turf soil testing form (or both if needed).
Write the sample name & your contact info on the bag.
Take soil samples in your field, pasture, lawn, garden, etc.
Return sample and completed form to Ashland SWCD.
Once test results are in, Ashland SWCD Outreach Specialist, Ruth Mccrea, will contact you with the results and help you develop a nutrient management plan tailored to your operation.
Ag Field Soil Testing
Crop fields should use ag testing forms and sampled at a 8” depth.
Basic package: $10/sample
Basic plus package: $15/sample
Complete package: $20/sample
Garden Soil Testing
Gardens should be sampled using a turf form to an 8” depth.
Basic turf & ornamental: $15/sample
Basic turf with micronutrients: $20/sample
Complete turf: $45/sample
Turf Soil Testing
Lawn & garden tests should use turf forms. and should be sampled to a 4” depth.
