Ashland SWCD Election Notice

The Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission will cause an election of Supervisors of the Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to be held in accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code. Individuals who own or occupy land within the Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District and are 18 years of age or older may vote for Supervisor.

There are 4 ways an eligible voter can cast a ballot:

  1. At the SWCD office from July 22 until August 20, 2021 during normal business hours; or

  2. At the SWCD Annual Meeting, which will take place at Myers Convocation Center at Ashland University on August 18 from 6-8 p.m.; or

  3. At the Rain Beat on Main Street even, which will take place at Loudonville’s Central Park on August 7 from 10 a.m. until noon and at Ashland’s Corner Park on August 14 from 10 a.m. until noon.; or

  4. Voting absentee from July 22 until August 20, 2021, by requesting the ballot application and election ballot from the SWCD office at the following address 1763 SR 60, Ashland OH 44805, by calling 419-281-7645, or email ashlandswcd@ashlandcounty.org. Absentee ballots must be received by the SWCD office by August 20, 2021.

Two Supervisors will be elected to a three‐year term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024.
